Folk dualism · personal identity · moral psychology
Experimental philosopher working on folk dualism, personal identity, moral psychology, robots, enhancement and empirical approaches to philosophical intuitions.
Michaela works on how people think about persons, minds, identity, moral responsibility and new technologies. Her work is directly relevant to XPhiRel because religious and supernatural cognition also depend on how people attribute minds, agency, souls and continuity of identity.
Overview
Her dissertation focused on folk dualism and two conceptual realms. Public academic sources list work in philosophy of mind, experimental philosophy, autonomous technologies, robots, neurotechnological enhancement and moral psychology.
